The stroom’s simple, value for money bistro menu offers something for everyone - always including the best of the season’s vegetables, meats and fish as well as ‘everyday’ dining options such as bangers & mash, pasta and burgers.

The menu is available Tuesday – Saturday evenings and Lunchtime Thursday & Friday. With main courses starting from just £8.50, this is a menu too good to miss!
For those who like to dine early, our early bird is a must. Choose a starter or pudding and a main course from our main dishes section or have all three courses.

Early Bird (Orders by 6:30pm): 2 course £16.00, 3 course £19.00

Wine and Drink

Whether you want a rich red to accompany a main meal, a classy champagne to celebrate before-hand or a cosy after-diner cognac, the stroom's extensive and eclectic drink menu offers a full range of the finest wines, beers and spirits to make sure you can indulge in whatever tipple you're looking for.

Our staff will be happy to give you friendly and knowledgeable advice on the menu available.

Our draught beverages include Stella Artois, Guinness, Tetley's smooth and Becks Vier. We also have an extensive stock of bottled beers and mixers.

 

Private Party

The stroom’s queen's room and cellar bar are both well established as party venues and are the perfect setting for any party.

Given that you may have up to 120 guests at your party and that your needs will vary depending on the nature of the event, our menu package offers a variety of buffet and dinner options.

Three-course dinner menus start at £26 per person (with discounts available for groups over 40 people).

Buffets start at just £7.00 per person for hot baguettes. Hot and finger buffets are also available from just £12 per person. Carved meat buffets also provide an usual, elegant alternative.

You may, of course, have your own ideas about menu options so please do come in and talk to us. We are sure we can accommodate your tastes.

Vegetarian options and children’s meals are available on request.

Wedding

At the stroom, we know your wedding day is one of the most important in your life. That’s why our wedding menus offer something for most tastes and all dishes are presented imaginatively and skilfully.

We have two wedding breakfast menus. A three course menu, priced at just £30 per person, includes traditional dishes such as soups, pate and roast beef. Our stunning four-course menu, priced at £38 per person, offers a further choice of seafood and other fine meats.

Buffets start at just £7.00 per person for hot baguettes. Hot and finger buffets are also available from just £12 per person. Carved meat buffets also provide an usual, elegant alternative.

Our menu package includes an all inclusive option for those wanting a wedding breakfast and evening buffet plus additionals such as DJ, welcome drinks, free-flowing wine with the meal, toasts and more. Costs start at just £57 per person – so well worth a look!
